Super Bowl LIX

The just concluded 59th Super Bowl marked my first Super Bowl. It took so long for me to watch my first Super Bowl because of a lot of factors, one major factor is the time difference we have with the US. Super Bowl is played on a Sunday and this means I have to be awake into Monday morning if I want to follow the game. Luckily for me, this time around the opportunity to watch the game presented itself and I took it and I really did enjoy the experience.

Before watching the game I was curious to know what the Super Bowl was all about, what the history behind it was, and of course, I also needed to know more about the game of American Football. While at this I realized that the game of American Football is easy to understand. In simple terms, it is all about a team taking the ball to the other end of the 360-foot or 110-meter field. Sounds easy right? But just as with life, some things sound easy but are not, so also is this game, and that is why it could last for more than an hour as each team tries to win the maximum amount of points doing this. 

The famous half time show. Kendrick Lamar headlined this year's halftime show and it was really wonderful. I still can not get over it. I have rewatched it so many times. My playlist is now dominated by songs from him. I appreciate his artistry and also the attention to detail. I must also say that the camera team did a good job.

I hope to watch the next Super Bowl and I plan to follow the Pittsburgh Steelers games during the season. This is because as an Industrial Engineer in training, Pittsburgh is a significant city in the history of industrialization.
